- Major Oleksandr Tsezariuk (call sign Caesar) was killed by an enemy mine on January 1, 2024 in the village of Novoselydivka in the Donetsk region. The serviceman was 30 years old. Oleksandr was from the village of Dobre in the Mykolaiv region. He studied to be an agronomist but never worked in that field. He had always dreamed of being a military paratrooper, so he transferred to distance learning and signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2013. He served in the 79th Separate Airmobile Brigade. He held the rank of major and was the commander of an artillery division. He was awarded the honorary badge of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine "Silver Cross" for the defense of Donetsk Airport, the distinctions "For Participation in the Anti-Terrorist Operation" and "For Exemplary Service", two honors and the medal of the ATO participant. He was interested in football and played when he had the chance. He loved history and studied military affairs of the past in detail. His wife Anastasia Tsezariuk said: "Sasha was always the life of the party, he loved when all his friends gathered, and he had many of them... He was a wonderful father, he really wanted children and especially daughters. When they were born, he dedicated every free minute to them. He was a true son, he loved and respected his parents. He was a great brother - he supported and protected his sister. Sasha was also a wonderful husband. There was no one closer to me in my life. I was lucky to have such an understanding person by my side. His smile will be etched in the memory of everyone." The defender was buried in his native village in the Mykolaiv region. Oleksandr left behind two daughters, his wife, parents and sister.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
