- Senior Soldier Oleksiy Lutcenko was killed in action in Donetsk on March 16, 2022, during an enemy artillery shelling. He turned 53 a month before his death. Oleksiy was born in Mykolaiv. He served on the Black Sea Fleet for three years, then stu at the Kryvoozersky Lyceum to become a driver. After that, he worked for more than 20 years at a school as a technical worker and senior stoker. The man loved fishing, driving, solving crosswords, and playing with his grandson. He served in the ATO by mobilization in 2014-2015. He was awarded numerous certificates, thanks, two medals for participating in combat operations, and the "Defender of the Fatherland" medal. His comrades called him Taliban and Alik, and during the call-up on February 24, 2022, they called him Uncle. He defended Ukraine as part of the 53rd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Volodymyr Monomakh. "My father was a very kind, sincere, fair, caring, positive person. He loved his family, spending time together, playing, and doing activities with his grandson. My father was loved and respected by his family, acquaintances, and colleagues. He is a real hero, a patriot who stood up for us from the first day of the war, but unfortunately, he gave the most precious thing - his life. We miss him very much," said the fallen warrior's daughter Inna. Oleksiy was reburied in the village of Mala Mechetnya, Peremoha district, Mykolaiv region.
