Oleksii M. Korobkin (Chechen)

Border guard Oleksiy Korobkin (call sign Chechen) was killed on January 31, 2024 while performing a combat mission in the village of Ivanivske, Donetsk region. The defender was 36 years old. Oleksiy was born and lived in Zaporizhzhia. He studied at the National University "Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic". He worked as the head of the Rozetka online store network in the Zaporizhzhia region. In his free time, he loved to read. He was interested in football. During the full-scale invasion, he defended the Motherland as part of the 3rd Border Guard Squad named after the Hero of Ukraine, Colonel Yevhen Pikus. He was a 2nd category border guard inspector. "My husband was a good person. Sensitive, honest, dedicated to his work, decent and very persistent. Above all, he loved his little daughter," wrote his wife Anastasia Korobkina. Oleksiy was buried at the Kapustiane cemetery in Zaporizhzhia. The warrior is survived by his wife, daughter, mother and brother.
