Olha V. Melster

Melster Olga Volodymyrivna was born on January 1, 1991 in Kirovohrad. She studied at the Faculty of Arts of Volodymyr Vynnychenko Pedagogical University. As early as in her 1st year, she began working in a jewelry workshop. She graduated with honors, and the university transferred Olga's diploma work - decorative clay vases "The Flow of Time" - to an art museum. She began making gingerbread, later sending products to Spain, Poland and the Czech Republic. She baked delicacies for the military, children with cancer, and the homeless. When the coronavirus pandemic began, she conducted online courses on making gingerbread. After the start of the full-scale invasion, together with her husband, she joined the defense of Ukraine in the ranks of the Territorial Defense Forces. She served in the 121st Separate Brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces. She died on June 21, 2022 together with her husband Taras Yuriyovych Melster near the village of Borivske, Luhansk region.
