Biography
Native of Kirovohrad region Pavlo Leonidovych Snitsar began his over 21-year service path as a conscript soldier. In 1997, he graduated from the separate faculty of internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs at the Academy of Border Troops of Ukraine. For more than 10 years, he commanded the rifle battalion of the Kryvyi Rih separate special motorized police brigade of the Central Territorial Command of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. During the events of the Revolution of Dignity, from December 2013 to February 2014, he carried out tasks to maintain public order on the streets of the capital. Then the "undeclared war" began, in which the commander, leading his subordinates, was present from June 2014, celebrating his 38th birthday in the ATO area on July 10. On July 23, during the battles for the liberation of Lysychansk, while trying to evacuate wounded soldiers of the National Guard and the Armed Forces from under enemy fire, among whom was his commander, Colonel Oleksandr Radiyevskyi, Pavlo Leonidovych received a fatal head injury… By the order of the commander of the National Guard of Ukraine, Lieutenant Colonel Snitsar was posthumously awarded the military rank of Colonel and was permanently listed in the personnel roster of the rifle battalion of the Kryvyi Rih separate public order protection brigade of the National Guard. In May 2015, in Kirovohrad, near the entrance to the military town of the unit commanded by Pavlo, a memorial plaque was solemnly unveiled in his honor, and near the city of Sievierodonetsk, a monument was erected at the site of the death of Major General O. Radiyevskyi, Colonel P. Snitsar, and soldier I. Kotsiar.Military service
