- Serviceman Petro Lutsyk (call sign Lutsk) was killed on November 23, 2023 in the village of Vilshana, Kharkiv region. While leaving his position, he received a fatal wound as a result of a drone-kamikaze strike. Petro was 53 years old. He was born in the Rivne region. By profession, he was a builder. In his youth, he worked in his specialty and built houses. Later, he started a business: he had his own grocery store. He also grew wheat, buckwheat, and peas. He was a church warden. He loved to spend his free time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed watching movies. He lived with his family in the village of Kurozvany, Rivne region. During the full-scale war, on February 25, 2022, he took up the defense of Ukraine, joining the ranks of the 14th separate mechanized brigade named after Prince Roman the Great. He held the position of a rifleman. He was wounded, but returned to service. He was awarded the Order "Forever in the ranks". "My dad was an incredible person. Kind, sincere, fair. A true patriot of Ukraine. He loved his family very much," wrote Ivanna Antipova. The warrior was buried in the village of Kurozvany, Rivne region. Petro was survived by his mother Tamara, wife Maria, children Ivanna and Volodymyr, as well as grandchildren Illia, Roman and Petro.
