Roman was a native of the village of Hrabovets in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. He grew up in a large family, where he was the eldest son. From a young age, he was distinguished by his courage, kindness, fairness, and bravery. His loved ones remember him with warmth and gratitude. He received a secondary education. In 2017, he underwent training in the ATO zone. Then he worked as an electrician at the SMEK enterprise. After the start of the full-scale invasion, on March 19, 2022, Roman unhesitatingly joined the ranks of the defenders. Initially, he was stationed at a checkpoint in the Khmilnytskyi region, guarding a bridge. A year later, he signed a contract to participate in combat operations on the front line. He served in the 710th brigade of the State Special Transport Service. He held the position of senior sergeant, commander of a fire assault squad in the assault company. "You were not only my beloved husband, but also my stone wall, my amulet, my best friend, a true reliable man, you replaced everyone for me, but no one can replace you!" wrote the wife of the fallen Khrystyna. "All who knew Roman personally will agree that he was always fair, sincere, reliable and interesting. For this and much more, everyone loved him, respected him and was drawn to him." "My son Roman went to the army as a volunteer, honorably and honestly fulfilled his duty. I always told him: 'Son, take care of yourself,' and he replied: 'Mom, don't worry, everything will be fine, I'm a survivor.' Our Roman would not have stopped. He always said: 'I will stand and defend my country to the last, this is my home.' He was the best brother for his brothers and sisters. He was a devoted friend, a good person and a warrior," said his mother Maria. The warrior was buried in the village of Volosiv in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.
