Ruslan I. Shtefaniuk

Soldier Ruslan Shtefanyuk died on April 30, 2024 at the Mechnikov Regional Clinical Hospital in Dnipro. The cause of death was acute cardiovascular failure and diffuse brain trauma. In May, the warrior would have turned 38 years old. Ruslan was born in Kuznetsovsk (now Varash) in the Rivne region. He studied at the Sutyskivska school, which he graduated from in 2003. That same year, he entered the Vinnytsia Polytechnic University, majoring in Heat and Gas Supply and Ventilation. He worked in his field at private enterprises in Vinnytsia and Kyiv. With the start of the full-scale invasion, Ruslan was mobilized into the 79th Separate Airmobile Brigade, where he held the position of machine gunner. "He was very kind, cheerful, tender, loved life. He had many plans for the future, loved his little son very much, called him 'my bunny', always asked how he was. They rarely saw each other, but the son was constantly waiting for him. Ruslan did not have time to say goodbye to Timurchik, because he was asleep. This was the last meeting: 2 days that we spent together. My beloved kitty, I will always love you, you were the best husband and father. You are our Hero, always in our hearts and thoughts. We will never forget about you! We love you very much and will always love you, your wife and son Timurchik," wrote his wife Yulia. The defender was buried in the village of Sutyskyy, Vinnytsia region. Ruslan is survived by his wife and son, who was 3 years old at the time of his father's death.
