Ruslan M. Duniev

Duniev Ruslan Mykolayovych was born on July 6, 1977, in the village of Zaliznychne, Bolhrad district, Odesa region. After completing the 9th grade at Zaliznychne School, he studied carpentry at the Suvorov Military School. In 1995, he was drafted for compulsory military service. After serving, he worked as a carpenter and studied to become a driver. In 1999, he joined the ranks of the 45th Airborne Brigade, and after its disbandment, he transferred to Mykolaiv — to the 79th Separate Airborne Assault Battalion. He participated in peacekeeping operations in Sierra Leone and Kosovo. Since 2014, he took part in the Anti-Terrorist Operation / Joint Forces Operation. He was killed on February 26, 2022, in a battle with an enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group in Mykolaiv region. He was buried on March 5, 2022, in his native village.
