Ruslan S. Mishiniov (Tykhyi)

30-year-old soldier Ruslan Mishinov (call sign Tykhy) was killed on September 29, 2023 near the settlement of Urozhaine in the Donetsk region. While performing his official duties, he sustained fatal injuries as a result of mortar and artillery shelling. Ruslan was from the village of Stepkivka in the Mykolaiv region. He graduated from the Marynivskyi Vocational Agricultural Lyceum and obtained qualifications as a tractor-machine operator in agricultural production, a mechanic for the repair of agricultural machinery and equipment, and a driver. He worked as an auxiliary worker at LLC "Alternatyva" and moonlighted as a taxi driver in his free time. He greatly loved fishing and football. During the full-scale war, the man defended his Motherland as part of the Separate Presidential Brigade named after Bohdan Khmelnytskyi. He held the positions of squad commander and vehicle commander of a mechanized platoon. "Ruslan was sensitive, kind, and never left anyone in trouble, always trying to help everyone. The best man, father, and son. Hardworking, he had many friends who valued him," his wife said. Ruslan was buried in his native village. He is survived by his parents Serhii Mykolaiovych and Liudmyla Oleksandrivna, his wife Valentyna, son Vadym, and daughter Olha. The soldier was posthumously awarded the decoration of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine "Cross of the Brave".
