- Senior Lieutenant Ruslan Skrynnik (call sign Ukrop) was killed on November 8, 2022 in battle with the occupiers near the settlement of Opytne in the Donetsk region. The officer was 40 years old. Ruslan was born and lived in Kyiv. He studied at school No. 242. He graduated from the Kyiv Financial Lyceum and the Irpin Tax University. Recently, he worked as an acrobatics coach at a children's dance studio. He loved football. He was a player of the teams "Delonghi", "Avatas", "Mashintekh", "Dragons-Talisman", "Syndicate", "Vega Sport", "Oriientyr". He was a master of sports in taekwondo. On the first day of the full-scale war, the man joined the ranks of the Kyiv Territorial Defense Forces. Later, he became a serviceman of the 36th separate marine brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Bilynsky. He held the position of platoon commander. "We lived with Ruslan for 15 years. He was kind, courageous, fair, and cheerful. A beloved husband, loving father and good friend. He could not stand aside, so on February 24 he volunteered to go to the military enlistment office. During a combat mission, while saving his comrades, he was killed," the officer's wife said. "Ruslan was a bright, kind person, a talented footballer with unique dribbling, a true team experienced player. He created a balance both on the football field and in the locker room. He never lost faith in victory. Thank you, Hero! It was an honor for us to know you! Eternal memory and Glory! Glory to Ukraine!" - stated on the page of the Kyiv Futsal Federation. "A handsome, very bright and intelligent person, a true Ukrainian... We haven't seen each other for many years, but I remember all my life the example of Ruslan and his family, how to properly raise children. Because the moral qualities were completely opposite to the material wealth. He was a rich guy, but nothing in his behavior betrayed this (only sometimes his father's driver picked them up from the lyceum in the latest Mercedes model). Modest, studied well, engaged in hand-to-hand combat sports, always helped and was there. Rest in peace, you will forever be in our hearts," wrote classmate Kateryna Klymenko. Ruslan was buried at the Lukianivka Military Cemetery in Kyiv. He left behind a mother, wife, daughter and son.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
