  Born on October 20, 1988, in the city of Berdiansk, Zaporizhia region. In the spring of 2014, he was mobilized to the 79th Separate Airborne Brigade of the High Mobility Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0224, city of Mykolaiv). Since the spring of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On June 12, 2014, soldier Shershnyov was killed during the battles for the Savur-Mohyla height in the Shakhtarsk district of Donetsk region. On June 14, 2014, he was buried in the cemetery of the city of Berdiansk.
