Serhii O. Mosiichuk

Born on February 22, 1997, in the city of Korets, Korets district, Rivne region. Graduated from the 9th grade of general education school No. 1 in the city of Korets, and in 2015 - from Vocational School No. 24 in the city of Korets, specializing in electrical engineering. Since January 2016, he served under contract in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Operational Command "North" of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A2167 (field post V0849), city of Bila Tserkva, Kyiv region). Since 2016, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On March 26, 2017, during a mortar shelling of Ukrainian positions at a checkpoint near the city of Avdiivka, Donetsk region, one of the shells hit the dugout where the servicemen were located. As a result of the explosion, Senior Sergeant Petro Kozaruk, soldier Serhiy Mosiychuk, and soldier Oleksiy Tymchenko were killed, and three other fighters were wounded. He was buried on March 29, 2017, at the cemetery in the city of Korets.
