- 37-year-old soldier Serhii Lukianchuk (call sign Boroda) was killed on July 27, 2023 near the village of Raihorodka, Luhansk region. During the breakthrough of the enemy's positions, he received fatal wounds, covering the retreat of his comrades-in-arms. Serhii was born in the city of Korosten, Zhytomyr region. He graduated from the Korosten Vocational Agricultural Lyceum and the Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture. He was an agrarian by profession and loved the land above all else, working on it from morning till night. He had his own agricultural business - from growing cereals and legumes to selling feed. He repaired his own agricultural machinery, which he used to cultivate his own and rented land. He dreamed of buying a combine harvester and a horse. Since February 24, 2022, the man has been working in the humanitarian headquarters of the Bilohorodska community, helping the territorial defense, providing food to checkpoints and pensioners. After the liberation of the Kyiv region, he was engaged in the transportation of humanitarian cargo to the East of Ukraine. He was an active volunteer. Serhii was drafted into military service during the mobilization on February 17, 2023. He joined the 403rd separate rifle battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which was attached to the 32nd Separate Mechanized Brigade. He held the position of a machine gunner section driver. Together with his comrades-in-arms, he defended the Kharkiv and Lyman directions. "Serhii never refused to help anyone. A truth-seeker and hard worker, a fighter for justice, honest, kind, courageous, responsible, sociable, a caring brother and son. He loved his wife very much and affectionately called her 'my Zaya'. He loved his native land and Ukraine," his older sister Inna said. The warrior was buried on the Alley of the Fallen Defenders in his hometown. Serhii is survived by his mother Nila, wife Nataliia, daughter Karina, son Nathan, three sisters and a brother, nephews and 9 godchildren.
