- 50-year-old junior sergeant Stanislav Godovenko (call sign Balu) fought his last battle on December 9, 2022 near the village of Ozaryanivka in the Donetsk region. While carrying out a combat mission, he received fatal injuries as a result of enemy mortar shelling. Stanislav was born in the village of Novi Biliari, Odesa region. He lived in the city of Pivdenne. He graduated from school No. 1 there. Then he worked in the railway workshop at the Odesa Port Plant. His lifelong passion was music. He played many instruments. He handmade electric guitars. In addition, he conducted experiments with electricity. He even had a mini Tesla coil at home. He was a successful video blogger. His YouTube video showing how he made a lathe machine has over 20,000 views. He was supposed to finish the lathe project in the summer of 2022, but did not have the chance. On the first day of the full-scale invasion, the man himself went to the military enlistment office with the desire to defend the country from the occupiers. He was enlisted in the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign. He held the position of commander of a rifle squad. "Stanislav was an exceptionally good man and father. He practically built the house at the dacha himself. We often rested there with the children. In addition, he set up workshops at the dacha where he created many projects. For example, he started building a one-man submarine," his wife Olga said. The hero was buried in the cemetery in the city of Pivdenne. The defender left behind a mother, wife, daughter and son. Stanislav Godovenko was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
