Taras V. Ivanytskyi (Xrust)

Taras Volodymyrovych Ivanytskyi was born on June 26, 1992, in Zhytomyr in a large family. Later, he moved with his parents to the village of Ozadivka in the Berdychiv district. After finishing the local secondary school, he enrolled in Berdychiv Vocational Technical School No. 4. Here he acquired the profession of an electrical fitter for the repair and maintenance of electrical equipment. He worked for almost 3 years in the trade sector as a controller-auditor at LLC "STAMA." With the beginning of the war in Eastern Ukraine, he was mobilized. Starting from 2014, he was repeatedly in Donbas as part of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) and Joint Forces Operation (JFO). He served in the 26th Artillery Brigade. In 2016, he transferred to the 95th Separate Air Assault Brigade in his hometown of Zhytomyr. In September 2020, he was discharged from military service. With the onset of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, Senior Soldier Taras Ivanytskyi was called up to the Armed Forces of Ukraine on February 25, 2022. He held the position of a gunner in the mortar platoon of the mortar battery of the airborne assault battalion in military unit A0281. Taras Ivanytskyi was killed on the morning of March 7, 2022, as a result of an airstrike during battles in Kyiv region. The farewell ceremony for the fallen soldier took place on March 13 in the village of Vysoka Pich, Teteriv rural community in Zhytomyr region.
