- 28-year-old junior sergeant Vadym Kobzar was killed on October 29, 2023 in the Donetsk region. After successfully completing a combat mission, he and his comrades-in-arms fell into an enemy ambush and were killed in battle. Vadym was born in Biliayivka, Odesa region. He graduated from local school No. 1. Then he studied at the Odesa Vocational Lyceum of Maritime Transport. He was passionate about fishing and computer games. After getting married, he moved to Chernihiv. Before the invasion, he worked as a sales manager at a wholesale food base. When the full-scale war began, he left the city with his pregnant wife. After the birth of their daughter, the family returned to Chernihiv, and on July 27, 2022, the man was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade named after Koshovy Otaman Ivan Sirko. He was the commander of a sapper unit. He was in the hottest spots: the Kupiansk direction of the Kharkiv region, the Svatove direction of the Luhansk region, and Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. Vadym was a purposeful, kind, and brave person who always went forward and gave himself fully to his work. He very much wanted victory and worried about his comrades. From July 2022, he mastered the profession of a sapper so well that he taught everyone. His friends remember him as a bright person with a big kind heart. His comrades-in-arms note that he was a courageous warrior, a leader, and an example of bravery and justice. Thanks to the minefields created by Vadym during his service, many enemy equipment and occupiers were destroyed. The warrior's body was cremated. Vadym is survived by his mother, wife, daughter, relatives, friends, and comrades-in-arms. He was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
