- Andriyevsky Vadim Leonidovich was born on November 7, 1985, in the city of Novy Urengoy, Tyumen region (Russia). When he was 5 years old, he moved with his family to the city of Kharkiv. Vadim Andriyevsky joined the separate special purpose unit "Omega" of the National Guard of Ukraine on February 9, 2021. Prior to this, he was a serviceman in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He had numerous rotations to the ATO / JFO area. As a combat group officer of the unit, he was experienced and brave, always volunteered to go first. The bright memory of Vadim Andriyevsky will forever remain in the hearts of his comrades-in-arms. "I served alongside Vadim. He was an incredible person. One of the best I knew. A support, a loyal friend, someone you could always rely on. He performed his duties excellently. I have met very few people like him in my life. Vadim Andriyevsky will always be in our ranks and in our hearts. Glory to Ukraine, and eternal memory and glory to him," recalls Vadim's friend, special forces operative Khause. "I served with Vadim since 2021. In 2014, when Russia attacked our country, he left the French Foreign Legion, returned to Ukraine, and joined one of the special forces units. Later, in 2021, he passed the selection for the separate special purpose unit 'Omega.' I remember him as a reliable, determined, disciplined, and persistent comrade. He never feared new challenges and performed his duty with utmost professionalism. I remember him as very positive and cheerful. This is a great loss for Ukraine, our unit, and for me personally," notes special forces operative Salute. "Vadim lived for military affairs. He was a true professional, held authority and respect in the unit. Vadim Andriyevsky was someone you could trust your life with. He gave his life for the future of our country in the early days of the invasion; he will forever be in our hearts. We will not forget anyone. We will avenge all," says Romanich, commander of the combat group that included Vadim. "He was a very brave man, a patriot, and a professional. Vadim had the call sign Sirko. He was not afraid of any difficult and dangerous tasks. He received a fatal injury during an assault," shared memories his comrade Pamir. On February 27, 2022, around 12:00 PM, a rapid response group from the separate special purpose unit of the Eastern Territorial Directorate received information from scouts about the concentration of several groups of armed individuals near Kharkiv Secondary School No. 134. The combat group of special forces arrived at the facility seized by the enemy in two armored personnel carriers and a Spartan armored vehicle. At that moment, the school was surrounded by units of the 92nd Mechanized Brigade, "FreiKor," and "Kord," with whom Kharkiv guardsmen-special forces launched an assault on the building. Vadim Andriyevsky, who was part of the combat group, received a gunshot wound during the fight that was incompatible with life.Memory Book of the MIA System
