- Born on December 18, 1972, in the city of Dresden, German Democratic Republic (now the federal state of Saxony, Germany). After some time, the family moved to the city of Slavuta in the Khmelnytskyi region. From 1979 to 1986, he studied at secondary school No. 5 in Slavuta. In 1986, the family moved to the city of Borne-Sulinowo in the People's Republic of Poland (now the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland). In 1990, he graduated from secondary school in Borne-Sulinowo. Since 1990, he served in the Armed Forces of the USSR / Ukraine. He graduated from the Kamianets-Podilskyi Higher Military Engineering Command School named after V.K. Kharchenko. He served in various military units. Since 2004, he served in the 703rd Engineering Vinnytsia Red Banner and Bohdan Khmelnytskyi Order of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A3817, city of Sambir, Lviv region). From July 29, 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On August 31, 2014, Lieutenant Colonel Susky was performing a combat mission to establish a minefield as part of a barrier group on two Ural-4320 and KAMAZ-4310 trucks in the area of the village of Shevchenko in the Volodarskyi (now Nikolske) district of Donetsk region. Around 16:30, while at the mine-laying line, the ammunition (about 200 TM-62P4 anti-tank mines with MVP-62M fuses) of the KAMAZ vehicle detonated, which occurred as a result of the container with mines being hit by a grenade launcher shot or an armor-piercing incendiary bullet fired by an unknown person. As a result of the explosion, Lieutenant Colonel Susky was killed. Also killed were soldier Doroshenko, soldier Strus, soldier Shubak, soldier Brzostowski, and soldier Maletsky. On September 6, 2014, he was buried in the cemetery of the city of Slavuta, Khmelnytskyi region. By the order of the commander of military unit A3817 No. 650 dated December 4, 2014, the surname of Lieutenant Colonel Susky Vadym Mykolaiovych was entered into the Honor Book of the unit (posthumously).Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
