Vasyl I. Telehuz

Telehuz Vasyl Ivanovych was born on January 1, 1964, in the village of Staryi Vovchynets in Bukovyna, and lived in the city of Storozhynets. For many years, he served in the military in various military units and had practical skills in the use of armored vehicles. In August 2015, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine as a reserve officer and took part in the Anti-Terrorist Operation in the East of the country. With the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, he was mobilized and was at the front. He held the position of head of the department for the maintenance and operation of ground-based weapons systems in the logistics unit A 2393 of the Southern Command. He was killed on March 21, 2022, during enemy shelling of the outskirts of Snihurivka in the Bashtanka district of the Mykolaiv region while performing a combat mission. He was bid farewell on April 14, 2022, at the Officers' House in Odesa. Vasyl Telehuz was buried on April 15, 2022, in the cemetery of his native village.
