- Staff Sergeant Vasyl Sadruk (call sign Beret) was killed on March 19, 2024 in a battle near the city of Hulyaipole, Zaporizhzhia region. The defender was 50 years old. Vasyl was born in the city of Nadvirna, Ivano-Frankivsk region. He graduated from the Open International University of Human Development "Ukraine" with a degree in Law. After completing military service, he signed a contract with the Special Operations Forces. He received the highest award - the maroon beret, which is awarded after passing difficult tests. In peacetime, he held positions in the paramilitary security. In 1998-2014 he lived in the city of Nova Kakhovka, Kherson region, where he held the position of head of security at the Kakhovka HPP. Then he moved to the village of Pasichna, Ivano-Frankivsk region, where he held the position of head of security at the Ivano-Frankivsk airport. Before the invasion, he worked in the security of the "NaftoGaz" company. He was interested in martial arts. His hobbies were drawing, airbrushing, and tattooing. At the front, he became especially interested in tattoos and tattooed his comrades-in-arms. During the full-scale invasion, the man fought for his country in the ranks of the 102nd separate brigade of the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. During his service, he received the following awards: "For Battlefield Valor", "War Veteran", "Distinction of the 102nd Brigade". "My dad is a real Hero. As a military man, he always sought justice, never left his comrades in trouble, always stood up for the truth and rights. He was devoted to his moral principles, always acted according to his conscience and infinitely loved his family, which was the most important thing in his life," said Halyna Sorokhan. Vasyl was buried in the village of Nadvirna. He left behind his wife Halyna, daughters Anna and Halyna.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
