- 32-year-old junior sergeant Viktor Navertiuk (call sign Tykhy) was killed on January 27, 2024 near the village of Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region. During the performance of a combat mission, he was hit by a shell dropped by an enemy drone. Viktor was born in the village of Zvedenivka, Vinnytsia region. He lived in the village of Yaltushkiv. After finishing school, he mastered the profession of a carpenter-builder at the Barskyi Vocational Construction Lyceum. He then graduated from the Kharkiv Industrial and Pedagogical Technical School with a degree in "Vocational Education. Construction" and the Kharkiv National Technical University named after Petro Vasylenko, where he obtained a bachelor's degree in wood processing technologies. After his studies, he decided to devote his life to the military. He was engaged in sports and boxing. He loved gardening and live flowers very much. In 2018-2022, he served in the 8th Special Operations Regiment of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Then he was transferred to the 70th Separate Support Regiment, which is part of the engineering troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of commander of the engineer-sapper platoon. During his service, he received many awards and certificates. "We legalized our relationship in 2018, half the time we were apart, but it never prevented us from loving each other endlessly and looking forward to every meeting as a new breath. We lived such a short time together, but he managed to show me true care, respect and love. We experienced the loss of our son Matvii in 2023, but he helped me with this. Viktor was incredibly brave, fair and caring. He saved many lives and never missed a single mission. He shared his experience with everyone and tried to teach others as much as possible. The guys wanted to get into his group to go with him... He never regretted going to defend Ukraine, and was ready to give his life for us," said the wife of the fallen warrior. The hero was buried in the village of Yaltushkiv, Vinnytsia region. Viktor is survived by his mother Tetiana, sister Olha, wife Anzhela and daughter Maiia.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
