Viktor V. Koshovyi (Istoryk)

Soldier Viktor Koshovyi (call sign Istoryk) was killed in action on July 22, 2022, while performing a combat mission near the village of Trysvyatka Sloboda in the Chernihiv region. The defender was 25 years old. Viktor was born into a family of a military serviceman. From childhood, he lived in Chernihiv. He graduated from the local school No. 2. Later, he received two higher educations: at the Chernihiv State Institute of Law, Social Technologies and Labor (with honors) and the Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences. He had a lawyer's certificate. He worked at the Novozavodskyi court in Chernihiv, and since 2016, he was the director of the private law firm "Talisman". He helped people and local animal shelters. He was fond of paintball. At the beginning of the full-scale war, the man was abroad, but immediately decided to return home to defend his native country. Initially, he joined the Kyiv Territorial Defense. He delivered food to the elderly, provided shelter for animals. After the de-occupation of Chernihiv, he returned to the city and joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of driver-radiotelephonist of the platoon of the guard company of the Chernihiv Regional Territorial Recruitment Center OK "North". "Light, generous, incredibly kind, always ready to help others," said the deceased's wife Anastasia. "We played on the same team in paintball. This is indeed a great loss. He always helped everyone. He said that if not him, then no one would drive the orcs out of our city," added friend Andriy. The fighter was buried in Chernihiv. Viktor left behind his parents and wife.
