Viktor V. Pronin

Born on December 29, 1980, in the urban-type settlement of Novotroitske, Novotroitsky District, Kherson Oblast. Completed 8 grades of general education at Novotroitske Urban-Type Settlement School No. 1, 9 grades of evening school, and a vocational school specializing in "tractor driver." Worked as a tractor driver at agricultural enterprises and in a farming business. Went to earn money in the Russian Federation. On May 25, 2015, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Served as a grenade launcher in the 17th Separate Motorized Infantry Battalion of the 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit field post V2304). Since July 2015, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On August 16, 2015, soldier Pronin was killed during a mortar shelling of Ukrainian troops' positions near the city of Horlivka, Donetsk Oblast. Senior soldier Kateryna Noskova was killed alongside him. On August 20, 2015, he was buried in the cemetery of the urban-type settlement of Novotroitske, Novotroitsky District, Kherson Oblast.
