Vira Yu. Anatii

Vira Yuriyivna Anatiy was born on July 28, 1985, in the city of Ochakiv, Mykolaiv region, in a military family. In 2007, she graduated from the Institute of Pedagogical Education of Mykolaiv National University named after Vasyl Sukhomlynskyi. That same year, she married Illia Anatoliyovych Anatiy, a resident of the village of Serbychany. The couple raised two children: a son, Serhiy, and a daughter, Marynka. Vira Anatiy joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2015, when Ukraine was already resisting Russian aggression. In 2016, she carried out service-combat missions in the area of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO). She held the rank of junior lieutenant. She was killed on February 24, 2022, on the day of the full-scale invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine. That day, an enemy missile hit the naval ship on which Vira was stationed. Vira Anatiy was buried on March 20, 2022, at the cemetery of the village of Serbychany in the Chernivtsi region.
