Vitalii I. Didenko (Chechel)

Vitaliy Ihorovych Didenko was born on June 1, 1992, in the village of Stratiivka, Vinnytsia region. He graduated from the Odessa State University of Internal Affairs. After graduation, he worked in his field for a year. Then he resigned voluntarily, as he decided to fulfill his long-standing dream and become a military man. In March 2015, he joined the ranks of the then still battalion "Azov" and served in the city of Mariupol. He participated in the ATO / JFO in Donbas. At the time of the full-scale invasion, Vitaliy was the chief sergeant of the reconnaissance group of the NGU Special Operations Forces "Azov". From the first day, he defended Mariupol from the occupiers. He went through heavy battles and sincerely believed in victory. He was killed on March 22, 2022, as a result of shell fragments hitting him when he went to help his comrades. He was buried in his native village.
