Vitalii S. Volytskyi

Senior soldier Vitaliy Volitskyi took his last battle on August 22, 2022, near the village of Opytne in Donetsk region. The defender is now forever 29. Vitaliy Sergiyovych was born in the village of Tynivka, Cherkasy region, in a large family. After graduating from the local school, he received a higher education at the Kyiv Institute of Business and Technology. He stu in the specialty "Finance and Credit". In recent years, he lived in the city of Vinnytsia. He worked as a cashier at "Oschadbank". In his free time, he collected limited edition Ukrainian coins, was engaged in sports. From the beginning of the full-scale war, Vitaliy went to the military commissariat and was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 115th separate mechanized brigade. He held the position of commander of a combat vehicle. He fought in Chernihiv, Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Donetsk regions. "Despite his armor at work, on the first day of the full-scale invasion, my brother voluntarily stood up to defend Ukraine. He was always a man of his word and honor. I remember his words: 'If not us, then who? It's our duty to protect our family!' He showed an example of courage and bravery with his personal example and leadership qualities. He heroically, defending the freedom and independence of Ukraine. Until the end, he remained faithful to his military oath and the Ukrainian people," said Daria Volitska. Vitaliy was buried in his native village. At home, his parents, older brother, two younger sisters, and civilian wife were waiting for him. Posthumously, the fighter was awarded the medal "For Military Service to Ukraine".
