- Guard Vladislav Samorok (call sign Zayets) was killed in action on March 11, 2022, in the battle for the city of Rubizhne in Luhansk region. He sustained fatal injuries during an enemy mortar attack. The warrior would have turned 20 on April 15. Vladislav was born and raised in the town of Volchansk, Kharkiv region. He graduated from the 11th grade of Volchansk Gymnasium. Later he worked as a builder and was an employee of a printing house. He was engaged in sports and loved computer games. But even in his school years, he dreamed of military service and wanted to enroll in the National Guard Academy or KhNUPS, but he was not accepted due to a heart defect. However, this did not stop Vladislav, and he eventually signed a contract with the National Guard of Ukraine. When the full-scale war began, the guy already had several rotations in the JFO zone. As part of the 3rd Operational Brigade named after Colonel Petro Bolbochan, he continued to defend the Motherland from the occupiers. He was an air defense gunner. "Vlad is my eldest son, the best firstborn, pride and glory. He was my support and support in life. There are no words to describe how much I miss him and how empty the world is without him. No one in our city can say that he was bad in anything. Always cheerful, kind, helped everyone who needed it... He loved Ukraine and his city. The brightest person in this world, and now - an angel in heaven," said the mother of the deceased. The young defender was buried at the 18th cemetery in Kharkiv. Vladislav is survived by his mother Natalia and younger brother Myron. Posthumously, Soldier Vladislav Samorok was awarded the Order "For Courage" III class.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
