Vladyslav Ya. Kulimin (Khudozhnyk)

Sergeant Vladislav Kulimin (call sign Artist) was killed on March 22, 2024, while performing a combat mission in the village of Ternyi in the Donetsk region. While moving to relieve the shift, he came under enemy fire from guided air bombs. The defender was forever 48 years old. Vladislav was born in the village of Novosaratovka (Azerbaijan). When he was 7 years old, the family moved to the village of Sakunikha in the Sumy region. There he went to school, and later obtained the profession of a master of agricultural production, a junior middle-level organizer at the Nedrigailov Higher Vocational School. He served his conscription in the Naval Forces of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, was a marine. Afterwards, he worked as a security guard at LLC "Vlad". In 2001-2015, he held the same position in the Romny Correctional Colony No. 56, where he was promoted to the rank of sergeant. Later, he worked as a general laborer, engaged in construction and metalworking - this was his hobby. In his free time, he loved to fish, hunt, and arrange the yard. He lived with his family in the city of Romny. On June 1, 2022, he voluntarily joined the ranks of the defenders. After training in Sumy and Chernihiv, he became a combat medic of the 117th separate brigade of territorial defense. He received a certificate for exemplary performance of military duty and high professionalism. "He was not just a father to me, but above all a friend who supported me despite everything. We could laugh at anything in the world. My friends were drawn to him, despite the age difference. Dad went to war to protect me. He said: 'I want my daughter not to consider me a coward.' I am very similar to him - both externally and internally, and this helps my mother, who looks at me and sees his reflection. I know, dad, that you hear me, because of our characters we never said how much we love each other, but together we felt and saw everything perfectly. Memories and dreams in which you come to me warm me. You are my Hero, my Guardian Angel," wrote Viktoria Kulimina. The defender was buried in the city of Romny in the Sumy region. At home, Vladislav was awaited by his wife, daughter, sister, and cousin.
