Volodymyr A. Kravchenko (Krava)

26-year-old warrior Volodymyr Kravchenko (call sign Krava) was killed on April 2, 2022 in the battle for the city of Mariupol. Volodymyr was from the city of Luhansk. After school, he enrolled at the Irpin Tax Academy in Kyiv region. In 2014, when the Russian-Ukrainian war began, he returned to his native Luhansk to prevent the occupation of the city. There he was captured by the separatists, where he was tortured. His father managed to free the boy. Volodymyr abandoned his studies because he planned to go to war. But his family and friends managed to dissuade him. He worked as a bartender. Later he became a cryptocurrency trader. On the first day of the full-scale invasion, Volodymyr joined the territorial defense. He participated in the defense of Kyiv. And later he transferred to the territorial defense regiment "Azov". When the Main Intelligence Directorate developed a special operation to deliver aid to the defenders of Mariupol by helicopters, Volodymyr signed up to fly to "Azovstal". The fierce battles in the city did not stop, and upon arrival Volodymyr immediately joined the defenders. "The guys said that on April 2 they engaged in battle in the city. It was a nine-story building. On one of the upper floors they were defending. There were Russian helicopters. The guys were surrounded. Vova was hit by a shrapnel or a bullet in the eye and it went through. He ," said mother Kateryna Bykova. At the end of August 2022, Volodymyr's body was returned home during the exchange. His relatives identified him by the Ouroboros tattoo - a snake biting its own tail, the first symbol of eternal rebirth. The fighter's body was cremated in Kyiv. Volodymyr is survived by his mother and sister. "You were a very loving and caring son! I felt it and rejoiced! When the time came and you grew up, I felt protected, as if by a stone wall, you proved it many times. When we last saw each other, when I last hugged you, I said I wouldn't be able to bear it if something happened to you. To this you replied: 'You will endure, mom, you can, you are strong!' My son, you believed in me, believed in Ukraine, longed for our victory! I will not let you down and will not disappoint you!" wrote mother Kateryna.
