- Soldier Volodymyr Khloponin (call sign Kot) was killed on July 7, 2023, during enemy assault operations near the city of Avdiivka in the Donetsk region. The defender was 51 years old. Volodymyr was from the city of Poltava. He graduated from the National University "Poltava Polytechnic named after Yurii Kondratiuk". In civilian life, he was engaged in entrepreneurial activity - he had his own store "Sviatkovyi". He was passionate about archaeological excavations and collected antique items. At the beginning of the full-scale war, the man guarded the territory near the Svyato-Uspenskyi Cathedral in Poltava as part of the volunteer corps, and was part of the DFTG No. 1 and No. 3. Since March 7, 2023, he has been in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Major General Marko Bezruchko. Initially, he was a rifleman in the security company, and on May 7, 2023, he was transferred to the position of a mortar crew member in the mortar platoon of the mechanized battalion. "He was an extraordinary person and the best dad for me. Everyone who knew him will say that he could always help selflessly, no matter how difficult the situation was. He loved excavations very much - it was his life's hobby, and every time he returned from them, everyone was shocked by how rare and incredibly ancient the finds he brought were. He knew the stories about each of his coins, although they were hard to count. He was a very kind and honest person. There are really very few such people. But for me, he will forever remain the best dad and a true Hero," the deceased's daughter said. "Volodya Khloponin: indifferent, with a special sense of justice - such people try to correct mistakes not with aggression, but calmly and balanced... Even in the TCC, Vova took care of everyone who asked for help. So that the documents were properly drawn up, the medical examination was passed quickly... He helped those who had health problems. But he didn't like those who "dodged" at all. He didn't scold - he despised. And he always went to see off all the fallen defenders. A person who tried to make the world a little better on his own has left this world. Vova, thank you for your indifference and humanity! You lived like a Hero, and was killed like a Hero! And joined the heavenly army..." wrote his comrade-in-arms Olha Stenko. The warrior was buried at the Rybchynskyi cemetery in Poltava. Volodymyr is survived by his mother Liudmyla, wife Viktoriia, daughter Mariia, other relatives, friends and comrades-in-arms.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
