- Senior Sergeant Volodymyr Kyrychenko (call sign Vampire) died on September 9, 2023, in the area of the village of Klishchiyivka in the Donetsk region as a result of a hostile attack by an FPV drone on the positions. The warrior was 38 years old. Volodymyr was born and lived in Kyiv. He studied at school No. 316. Even in those years, he became interested in sports, played football. In 2002, he obtained the qualification of a machine repair mechanic at the Educational and Scientific Center of Vocational Education of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine. Then he went to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Before the invasion, he worked as a purchasing manager for restaurants. With the beginning of the full-scale war, the man joined the ranks of volunteers and began to defend his native Kyiv. He fought as part of the 241st separate brigade of the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was the senior sergeant of the platoon of the 206th battalion. During his service, Volodymyr was awarded the badge "Participant of Combat Operations", the award "For the Defense of Ukraine", a commendation from the commander of the military unit, the medal for participation in the battles of the "Bakhmut Frontier", the medal "For Bravery in Battle" (Bakhmut), a letter of thanks from the Mayor of Kyiv "For personal courage and bravery, participation in repelling and containing aggression in the direction of Kyiv and impeccable performance of official duties", two certificates of the Commander of the Defense Forces of Kyiv. "The best dad, husband. Volodya was very fair, honest, kind. We lived with him in perfect harmony for 18 years. Family is sacred to him. We had a loving family. When he received three concussions, he still did not want to leave his comrades-in-arms, because he was worried about everyone. He was treated for a month, but his thoughts returned to the war, to his comrades-in-arms, for whom he had already become an example and a moral authority - athletic, well-trained, fair. For his merits, he regularly received medals, awards, certificates and letters of thanks from the leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as the state and local authorities," said the wife of the fallen soldier, Tetiana. The defender was buried at the Lisovyi Cemetery in Kyiv. At home, Volodymyr was awaited by his wife, daughter and son.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
