- Senior soldier Volodymyr Holovka (call sign Vokha) was killed on December 27, 2023 while carrying out a combat mission in the area of Orikhiv, Zaporizhzhia region. The soldier was 36 years old. Volodymyr was born in the village of Horinchovo, Zakarpattia region. He studied at the Horinchivskyi Lyceum. Then he entered the Khust Vocational Lyceum, where he obtained the profession of a mason-plasterer. In 2007, he went to serve in the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Dnipro. In 2013, he got married. With his wife, he raised two sons. He loved to do sports. He loved to relax with his family on weekends, go mushroom picking, to the river, and swim in the pool. Before the invasion, he had worked in Slovakia on construction sites for many years. In April 2022, the man joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He underwent training in Lviv. Later, he went to the front as part of the 65th Separate Mechanized Brigade. He held the position of driver of the material support group of the automobile platoon for the delivery of food, clothing, and military-technical property. During his service, he received the award "Veteran of War". "It's very hard without him. He was a very kind, energetic, cheerful, loving husband and father. He loved to help everyone, never refused anything. He tried to do everything for us. He built a house with his own hands, but did not have time to move in... This cursed war took my husband away, the father of my children... We miss him very much. We still can't get used to the fact that he is no longer among the living," shared the wife of the fallen. The defender was buried in his native village. Volodymyr is survived by his parents Volodymyr and Liubov, his wife Yaroslava, sons Maksym and Denys, and sister Natalia with her family.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
