- Soldier Volodymyr Moskovets (call sign Vokha) was killed on August 24, 2023 near the village of Mala Tokmachka in the Zaporizhzhia region. While carrying out a combat mission, he received fatal injuries as a result of enemy shelling from barrel artillery. The defender was 29 years old. Volodymyr was from the city of Zaporizhzhia. He obtained a secondary education. He worked at the Zaporizhvohnetryv plant and mastered the profession of a refractory worker. He was interested in old car brands. With the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, the man without hesitation joined the ranks of the defenders and went to the front. He fought as part of the 15th Special Purpose Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine "Kara-Dag". He was a rifleman-cook. "My husband was a kind and just person. He was a brave warrior, a true comrade, a good husband and father, a loving son, uncle, and brother. My husband was so courageous, so right, that when the war started, he could not stand aside and almost immediately went to defend the Ukrainian people and land. He was a brave person, he wanted to live in a free country, he wanted our son to grow up without wars, deaths, so that he would never see these sufferings. As it seems to me, the only reason why he went forward was our son. So that he would have a peaceful future, a calm childhood and grow up as far as possible from this... The man was very fair, had a stubborn character. He always acted correctly. He dreamed of a second child - a girl. He said he would be a defender for his princess. He wanted his daughter to be like me. He dreamed of traveling abroad, buying a house, getting a dog, resting after the victory, seeing how his son grows up, taking him to kindergarten, school, giving him a car on his 18th birthday, being an advisor, a friend, a loving father for his children, a reliable husband. I'm sorry that our son will never know his father's care and love, will never ask for advice, will never play football, spend time with his father. I am very proud of my husband, proud to be his wife and the mother of his son. I want our son to be just as proud of him. We love our defender. Forever in our hearts and memory!" - shared Darya Moskovets. Volodymyr was buried in the Alley of Glory of the Kushuhum cemetery near Zaporizhzhia. The defender is survived by his wife, son, parents, sisters and brother.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
