- Junior Sergeant Yaroslav Mudrovskyi was killed on January 17, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission in the area of the village of Ternі in the Donetsk region. He was forever 21 years old. Yaroslav was born in the village of Motrunkі in the Khmilnytskyi region and lived in the village of Cherniivka. He and his younger brother Myroslav were raised by their mother, who gave all her love to her children. From childhood, Yaroslav was intelligent and determined. Even then, everyone knew that he would become a military man. As a child, he and his best friend made wooden weapons, dug trenches in the forest to play "war games". After finishing the 9th grade, the young man entered the Zhytomyr Higher Professional Technological College, where he obtained the profession of a refrigeration equipment repair mechanic. In 2022, he began to study by correspondence at the Polissya National University, majoring in "Forestry". On July 1, 2019, Yaroslav turned 18 years old, and on July 29, he signed his first contract and joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was proud to serve in the 13th battalion of the 95th separate airmobile brigade. After training, he went to carry out combat missions in the area of the Joint Forces Operation. When the full-scale war began, Yaroslav and his comrades-in-arms held positions in the Donetsk region. On February 26, the defender received a concussion and was hospitalized. But he did not recover for 3 weeks and returned to the front. Their brigade was then defending Mariupol, and he had to be with his comrades. "How important that one 2-minute call with a poor network was to me. It was not always clear what he was saying, but I knew: he called - that means he is alive," recalls Uliana, the defender's beloved. Later, Yaroslav's unit was transferred to another hot spot - Izyum-Sloviansk, which they bravely held for a long time. Although they suffered heavy losses, they stood firm. Then they were transferred to another section of the front. During his service, Yaroslav Mudrovskyi was repeatedly awarded certificates. On May 1, 2022, he received the medal "Defender of Sloviansk". "Yarik was strong and courageous, I was always proud of his endurance. All the time, in response to my questions and worries, he joked: 'I'm doing well, I have something to eat, do you want me to send you some too?' He wanted to have his own house. We dreamed of living first just the two of us, and then with children. We planned that right after the victory we would have a wedding, but, unfortunately, fate ordered otherwise... Yarik was a very good, bright person, he never refused to help anyone. He had many friends. He was a good friend, a kind brother, a faithful comrade-in-arms for his brothers-in-arms, who could entrust their lives to him, a good son, a support and a pillar for his mother, and the best beloved for me," Uliana says. The hero was buried in the village of Cherniivka. At home, his mother, brother, beloved girl, and friends were waiting for their defender.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
