- Soldier Yaroslav Marcinovsky (call sign Tsymbal) was killed on June 8, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Novodanilivka, Zaporizhzhia region. On September 30, the warrior would have turned 37 years old. Yaroslav was born in the village of Tsenіava, Ivano-Frankivsk region. In 2004, he graduated from the Kolomyia Industrial and Pedagogical Professional College, obtaining the profession of a painter-plasterer. He earned a living by fulfilling individual orders for laying paving slabs. He was a true professional in his field. During the full-scale war, the man firmly decided to go and defend his native country from the occupiers. He joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and later served in the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade "Magura". He underwent training and became a grenade launcher. "He is the Hero of my life and the Hero of Ukraine, a man of spirit and a true patriot, a part of me, my dear brother Slavik. He did not like noise and publicity, he did not like to show off heroism, he was just a hero. When he went to fight, we asked him not to go, we asked him to stay at home, to which we heard a firm answer: 'This is the best thing I can do, this is my duty.' He defended us until the last minute of his life. True heroes die first, they are the first to go into battle, they protect and sacrifice themselves for their comrades and all of us. They give up the most precious thing. He sacrificed absolutely everything for us! For Ukraine! He lost the most important thing he had - life, and with it a happy family, a beloved wife and daughter, who will never see his smile, feel his hugs and kisses again... He loved life! He had many dreams and plans. He loved the mountains and traveling, it only took him a few minutes to gather and set off on a journey. He was a true patriot, someone who saw the world, but always said that Ukraine is the best, that it is his home. He knew he was fighting for the future. For the future of our children! He often said that he was fighting for the happy future of Ukrainians and believes that our children will finally outgrow the inferiority and consequences of the Soviet Union," said Mariya Martsinovska about the fallen soldier. The defender was buried in his native village. At home, Yaroslav was awaited by his wife Mariya, daughter Nadiya, who was 5 years old at the time of her father's death, relatives and many friends.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
