Biography
Mohonko Yaroslav Oleksandrovych was born on October 20, 1991, in Bila Tserkva. He lived in the village of Karapyshi. He received his education at the Karapyshi Lyceum and the Bohuslav Humanitarian Professional College named after I.S. Nechui-Levytskyi. He graduated from the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics, where he obtained an economic education. He was a participant in the Revolution of Dignity on Maidan Nezalezhnosti. With the beginning of the announcement of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) involving the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2014, he was mobilized into the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade "Black Zaporozhians". During the ATO, he directly participated in many operations, in the battles for the liberation of Mariupol, in the battles for Volnovakha, and in other hotspots in eastern Ukraine. He fell into the Izvaryno cauldron, from where he emerged with a concussion and a spinal injury. After that, he engaged in volunteering, helping his comrades-in-arms to find the necessary military equipment. After the full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine, the next morning, together with his comrades-in-arms and his father, he joined the 72nd Brigade "Black Zaporozhians". He was the head of departments that held the defense of the capital of Ukraine in the villages of Rozivka in the Brovary district and Savenky in the Vyshhorod district. He conducted training at a training ground near Belarus, after which he was sent to eastern Ukraine. He defended the Bakhmut district of Donetsk region. He was killed on June 26, 2022, falling into an ambush of the enemy's sabotage and reconnaissance group near the village of Vidrodzhennia in the Bakhmut district of Donetsk region.Burial place
