Biography
Duriba Yaroslav Vasylovych was born on September 21, 1973, in the village of Dohmarivka, Henichesk district of Kherson region, in a family of workers. His parents worked at the Shevchenko collective farm. He attended the village kindergarten and in 1980 entered the 1st grade of the Dohmarivka 8-year school. He was an active student, attended various clubs, and participated in sports competitions. He was interested in tourism and fox hunting. He received many certificates of commendation. In 1988, he graduated from incomplete secondary school and enrolled in Henichesk Vocational Technical School No. 17. In 1991, he graduated from the school and obtained the profession of driver and car repair mechanic. He attended a freestyle wrestling section and participated in regional competitions. During summer vacations, he did not idle but worked on the collective farm, at the farm, and at the grain warehouse. On September 28, 1991, Yaroslav married Natalia. The couple officially registered their marriage on January 23, 1996. On December 9, 1991, he was drafted into the army. He arrived in Anapa, was a cadet, and studied to be a driver of small boats. He was unable to complete his training, although he had only 2 months left to serve. The collapse of the Soviet Union began, and on February 3, 1992, his daughter Marina was born. Yaroslav was transferred to Ukraine, to the Transcarpathian region. He completed his service as a border guard, sniper. He considered it his duty to serve until the end, as a worthy man. Therefore, he did not take a deferment due to the birth of his daughter. He completed his military service in 1993 and had an excellent military reference from the commander of the military unit. After returning from the army, Yaroslav got a job at the Shevchenko collective farm in his native village. In 1994, he underwent training and courses to become a tractor driver-mechanic. He obtained a tractor driver's license. On February 28, 1996, Yaroslav's son Dmytro was born. In 2000, Yaroslav left the collective farm due to the separation of his land share. He worked at the Henichesk Irrigation Systems Management, holding the position of pump station operator. Later, he left the job due to health issues, as he often fell ill and had heart and blood pressure problems. He was registered at the Kherson Cardiology Dispensary. On March 24, 2011, Yaroslav underwent coronary angiography. Every 3 months, he underwent treatment with a cardiologist. He took medication daily. In 2012, he got a job in Kherson as a driver at the "Aris" company. Both the team and the job suited him well. No one knew about Yaroslav's illness until the last moment. When he received a summons, the military enlistment office said, "No one will pay attention to his illness; there are plenty of military hospitals, and we need such a specialist." At home, Yaroslav said, "I will not hide; it is a shame." On August 21, 2014, senior soldier Yaroslav Vasylovych Duriba was mobilized to Kryvyi Rih as a scout, a shooter-sanitary. The leaders of the "Aris" company fully provided Yaroslav with everything he needed throughout his service. From November 19, 2014, Yaroslav directly participated in the anti-terrorist operation as a senior soldier, scout, and shooter-sanitary of the 6th mechanized company of the 2nd mechanized battalion of military unit V 3675. His comrades called him Yarik. He was respected and valued. Yaroslav said that he would never leave his guys and would be with them until the end. It so happened that Yaroslav's life was cut short by a sniper's bullet. He died in front of his comrades on May 15, 2015, in the Luhansk region, near the village of Stanytsia Luhanska, as a result of a penetrating gunshot wound to the side of his torso. Yarik's comrades promised that when they were on leave, they would definitely visit his grave and bring their flag, which they would personally raise over the burial site. Because they were not allowed to send Yaroslav off on his last journey, as there was no one to replace them at the positions. On May 19, 2015, a letter of gratitude from the commander of the military unit arrived at the village council, which had been sent while Yaroslav was still alive, and on May 20, the man was laid to rest in his native village.Military service
