- Sergeant Yevhen Barmas (call sign Amor) was killed on August 25, 2024, as a result of an attack by an enemy FPV drone near the village of Zhuravlivka in Russia. That day, the defender and his unit were about to launch an assault. In the morning, enemy FPV drones appeared in the sky. While running to cover, Yevhen pushed his comrade forward, but did not make it in time. He was killed instantly. The defender was forever 23 years old. Yevhen was born in Lozova, Kharkiv region. He received secondary specialized education at the Lozova branch of the Kharkiv Automobile and Road Vocational College. He was engaged in boxing and was the Ukrainian champion in Thai boxing. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, he volunteered in Kharkiv for a week, and then joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He defended the Motherland as part of the 113th separate brigade of territorial defense. He was the commander of the 1st platoon of the 3rd platoon of the 1st company. In September 2024, he was to marry his beloved Zlata. For his service, Yevhen had a number of awards, including the medal "For Participation in the Battles of the Bakhmut Frontier", the badge "Veteran of War", the honorary award "For Courage and Bravery", and the medal of the 113th Separate Brigade of Territorial Defense "We Will Protect Our Home - We Will Protect Ukraine". "As a commander, Yevhen always worried about his fighters. He always said: 'It is important for me to bring my guys back whole.' It is impossible to convey in words how courageous and strong-willed this man was! He always went into battle without hesitation, was a patriot of our country, always knew why he was there, and always said: 'Either with a shield or on a shield,' he even had such a tattoo. For our whole family, this is unspeakable pain. He was the first for everyone - the best son, brother, grandson and beloved. The pain of our loss cannot be healed even by time. The best give their lives for Ukraine, sacrificing the most precious. Glory to the Hero!" - said the warrior's fiancée Zlata. The defender was buried in the Alley of Glory of the Central Cemetery in Lozova, Kharkiv region. Yevhen is survived by his mother, sister and fiancée.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
