Yurii P. Yatsenko (Said)

Born on July 23, 1977, in the village of Rosava, Myronivskyi District, Kyiv Oblast. In 1993, he graduated from the 9th grade of the general education school in the village of Rosava. From 1996 until the end of the 1990s, he served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Recently, he worked in the city of Kyiv. In 2014, he was mobilized as a volunteer into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a rifleman-assistant grenade launcher of the 2nd company of the 25th Territorial Defense Battalion "Kyiv Rus" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit field post V0676). Since the summer of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. Call sign "Said." On August 25, 2014, soldier Yatsenko received serious injuries to the abdomen during a battle for the urban-type settlement of Komisarivka in the Perevalskyi District of Luhansk Oblast. During transportation to the hospital, the serviceman died from his injuries. He is buried in the cemetery of the village of Rosava, Myronivskyi District, Kyiv Oblast.
