- The commander of the combat vehicle, Yuriy Hutsuliak, was killed in action on March 20, 2022, defending Kyiv from Russian occupiers. The defender was 45 years old. Yuriy was from the village of Chornivka in Chernivtsi Oblast. The man went to the front as a volunteer in 2015, later signed a contract, and served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At that time, he already had four children, but fought for almost half a year in the hottest spots of Donbas: in Donetsk Airport, near the villages of Granitne, Rybynske, Zelenopillya, and in the areas of the cities of Volnovakha and Vuhledar. He received a severe injury and returned to the war after rehabilitation. "In 2016, the mobilization contract ended. I thought I would not return to the army. I gave away all the military equipment purchased in 2015 at my own expense. I even found a civilian job - I was the head of the lamination department... But I couldn't leave the unfinished business that I started with my comrades," Yuriy said in an interview in 2020. Later, the man was discharged from the army and went to work in England. With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russian occupiers, Yuriy returned to his homeland to defend it again. He went to the military enlistment office, although he did not fall under the general call - he was a father of many children. However, he still insisted on being taken into the military. Later, Yuriy, as part of the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade, went to the front. The serviceman participated in repelling the attack of the occupiers on Kyiv Oblast. Unfortunately, it was there that the defender accepted his last battle. Yuriy was buried at the Sadgora cemetery in Chernivtsi. At home, his wife and children were waiting for him.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
