- Soldier Yuriy Kamyanov (call sign Kamyan) was killed on June 6, 2023 near the village of Remivka in the Zaporizhzhia region. During the performance of a combat mission, he came under artillery fire and received fatal injuries. The warrior was forever 37 years old. Yuriy was born and lived in Brovary, Kyiv region. He graduated from the Brovary Vocational and Technical School as an auto electrician. He served his military service. In civilian life, he worked as a warehouse keeper of electrical products and goods. In his free time, he loved to play football. In 2014-2015, he participated in the ATO. Before the invasion, he worked as a shoemaker at the "PRIME SHOES" company. During the full-scale war, the man, having combat experience, again took up the defense of his country from the invaders. He joined the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 40th Tactical Aviation Brigade, holding the position of machine gunner of the security platoon. "Yuriy Kamyanov was one of the most experienced warriors. At the beginning of the war, he took part in the ATO / JFO, and during the full-scale aggression, he defended the southeastern territories of Ukraine. With his unit, he held the defense line in one of the most dangerous sections of the front, skillfully pushing back the enemy. Since August, he has been defending Ukraine in the ranks of the tactical aviation brigade..." "Responsibility, integrity, honesty, the desire to cover and help - these are the virtues of the defender that his brothers-in-arms call him." He was never on the sidelines, because he knew whom he was protecting," the brigade wrote on its page. The hero was buried in cemetery No. 3 in his hometown. At home, Yuriy was awaited by his parents, sister, wife and son.
