Biography
Yurii Vasylovych Orishchenko was born on February 15, 1968, in the village of Ruzhyn, Zhytomyr region. From 1986 to 1990, he studied at the Volzhsky Higher Military Construction Command School. In 1991, he took an oath of allegiance to the people of Ukraine. From 1990 to 1992, he served in the construction battalion in Dniprodzerzhynsk, and from 1992 to 1998, he served in the sapper battalion in Berdychiv. From 1998 to 2018, he worked as a private entrepreneur. In 2018, he signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of platoon commander in the 72nd Mechanized Brigade. He participated in combat operations in the area of the Joint Forces Operation. With the onset of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, he returned to the front. He was killed on March 13, 2022, near the village of Moschun in Kyiv region. He was buried in his native village. He is survived by two children.Burial place
