Andrii O. Reuta (Medok)

Born on January 3, 1983, in the city of Sumy. Graduated from secondary school No. 11 (now named after Oleksiy Bratushka) in the city of Sumy, in 2002 - from the Machine Engineering College of Sumy State University (city of Sumy). From 2002 to 2007, worked as a section master at the Public Joint Stock Company "Sumy Machine Engineering Scientific and Production Association named after Frunze" (city of Sumy). In 2011, graduated from Sumy State University. In April 2014, volunteered to join the special forces battalion (reserve battalion) "Donbas" of the Northern Operational Territorial Association of the National Guard of Ukraine (military unit 3027). From the summer of 2014, participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. Call sign "Medok". Participant in the battles for the city of Popasna in the Luhansk region and the city of Ilovaisk in the Khartsyzk city council of the Donetsk region. On January 31, 2015, reserve soldier Andriy Reuta, as part of a group, was performing a service-combat task regarding the evacuation of wounded servicemen. Near the city of Vuhlehirs'k in the Artemivsk (since 2016 - Bakhmut) district of Donetsk region, the Ukrainian unit was ambushed by militants. The group was practically shot at point-blank range from enemy tanks. As a result of the shelling, reserve soldiers Oleksandr Kopytsia and Andriy Reuta were killed. On February 5, 2015, he was buried at the Alley of Honorable Citizens of the Central Cemetery in the city of Sumy.
