- Born on June 7, 1992, in the village of Shkariv, Hoshchansky District, Rivne Oblast. In 2008, he graduated from the 9th grade of the general education school in the village of Horbaky, Hoshchansky District, then attended the Kvasyliv Professional Lyceum (the urban-type settlement of Kvasyliv, Rivne Oblast) specializing as a "car repair mechanic." From October 18, 2011, to 2012, he served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In 2012, he underwent training under the program "Mechanic-Driver of Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV)" at the 354th Training Mechanized Regiment of the 169th Training Center of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1048, the urban-type settlement of Desna, Kozelets District, Chernihiv Oblast). Since 2012, he continued military service under contract as a mechanic-driver of an infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) in the 3rd section of the 1st platoon of the 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0409, the city of Novograd-Volynskyi, Zhytomyr Oblast). From March 2014, he was stationed at the administrative border with the Russian-occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea. From the summer of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On July 28, 2014, soldier Overchuk, as part of the brigade unit, was carrying out a combat mission to capture the strategically important height of Savur-Mohyla (Shakhtarsky District, Donetsk Oblast). Near the village of Stepaniivka, Shakhtarsky District, Donetsk Oblast, the column was fired upon by the enemy. The infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) in which soldier Overchuk was located was at the head of the column, hit a mine, and caught fire. The soldiers sitting on the armor were thrown by the explosion. Soldier Overchuk was killed. Ukrainian forces were forced to retreat during the battle. Since then, soldier Overchuk was considered missing in action. He was identified through DNA testing. On September 20, 2014, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Shkariv, Hoshchansky District, Rivne Oblast.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
