- Born on September 23, 1988, in the city of Novograd-Volynskyi, Zhytomyr region. In 2003, he graduated from the 9th grade of general education school No. 3 in Novograd-Volynskyi, and in 2006 - from the 3rd year of the Novograd-Volynskyi Industrial and Economic College. From 2006 to 2007, he served in the ranks of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine (now the National Guard of Ukraine). He served in Lviv. After the army, he returned to the city of Novograd-Volynskyi. He repaired cars and worked as a modeler at the Limited Liability Company "Cersanit-Invest" since 2009. On March 10, 2014, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine by the Novograd-Volynsk-Red Army Combined City Military Commissariat of the Zhytomyr region. He served as a machine gunner in the mechanized section of the mechanized platoon of the mechanized company of the 1st mechanized battalion of the 30th separate mechanized brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0409, Novograd-Volynskyi, Zhytomyr region). Since March 2014, he served at checkpoints in the Kherson region on the administrative border with the occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea. From the summer of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On July 28, 2014, soldier Tymoshchuk, as part of the brigade unit, was carrying out a combat mission to capture the strategically important height of Savur-Mohyla (Shakhtarsk district of Donetsk region). During search-strike actions in the area of the village of Stepaniivka in the Shakhtarsk district of Donetsk region, Ukrainian servicemen came under enemy fire, as a result of which Ivan Tymoshchuk received a fatal wound. On August 2, 2014, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Susly, Novograd-Volynskyi district, Zhytomyr region.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
