Dmytro V. Petrushenko

Born on January 11, 1971, in the city of Dnipropetrovsk (now Dnipro). In 1989, he graduated from secondary school No. 62 in Dnipropetrovsk. He studied at the Dnipropetrovsk Institute of Physical Culture (now the Dnipropetrovsk State Academy of Physical Culture and Sports - city of Dnipro). $He was a professional cyclist. He was a winner of city, regional, all-Ukrainian, and all-Union competitions. $He lived in the city of Pavlohrad in the Dnipropetrovsk region. He worked as a cycling coach and later as a security guard. $On December 18, 2017, he was called up for military service under contract by the Pavlohrad Combined Military Commissariat of the Dnipropetrovsk region to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a number of the mortar crew of the mortar platoon of the mortar battery of the 3rd mechanized battalion of the 93rd separate mechanized Kharkiv brigade of the Operational Command "East" of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1302 (field post V2830), the urban-type settlement of Cherkaskoye, Novomoskovsk district, Dnipropetrovsk region). $Since January 2018, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation / joint forces operation in eastern Ukraine. $On June 27, 2018, soldier Dmytro Petrushenko was killed during an enemy artillery shelling as a result of a direct hit on the observation position near the village of Bohdanivka in the Volnovakha district of Donetsk region. Along with him, soldier Volodymyr Dyachenko and soldier Oleksandr Kholin were also killed. $On July 3, 2018, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Pishchanka, Novomoskovsk district, Dnipropetrovsk region.
