- Born on April 2, 1983, in the city of Lutsk, Volyn region. Graduated from the general education boarding school in Lutsk. Worked as a route taxi driver in Lutsk. Served mandatory military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In April 2014, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 51st Separate Guards Perekop-Kharkiv Prague-Volyn Order of Lenin, twice Order of the Red Banner, Order of Suvorov and Kutuzov Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A2331, city of Volodymyr-Volynskyi, Volyn region). Since the spring of 2014, he participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation in eastern Ukraine. On May 22, 2014, Junior Sergeant Yovzyk was killed during an armed attack by a Russian-terrorist group on a checkpoint of Ukrainian soldiers near the station of Velyko-Anadol, close to the urban-type settlement of Olhynka in the Volnovakha district of Donetsk region. On May 27, 2014, he was buried in the Alley of Honorary Burials at the city cemetery in the village of Harazhdia, Lutsk district, Volyn region. On November 20, 2015, a memorial plaque was installed on the facade of the general education boarding school building (32 Dubnivska Street) in Lutsk, where Dmytro Yovzyk studied.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
