- Born on July 3, 1971, in the urban-type settlement of Kryzhopil, Kryzhopil District, Vinnytsia Oblast. From 1978 to 1981, he studied at the secondary school of the urban-type settlement of Kryzhopil. In 1981, he moved with his family to Kherson Oblast. In 1986, he graduated from the 8th grade of secondary school No. 7 in the city of Tavriysk, Novokakhovka City Council, Kherson Oblast, and then attended the Kherson Maritime College named after Lieutenant P.P. Shmidt (now Kherson State Maritime Academy, city of Kherson). He served in the ranks of the Armed Forces of the USSR. He served at the Kapustin Yar missile military training ground (Astrakhan Oblast, Russia). He lived in the city of Nova Kakhovka, Kherson Oblast. Recently, he worked as a driver of a route bus. In May 2014, he volunteered to join the patrol police battalion "Kherson" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Kherson Oblast. Since August 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. He was a participant in the battles for the city of Ilovaisk in Donetsk Oblast. On August 29, 2014, senior sergeant of police Oleg Grebinskiy, along with other fighters, was exiting the "Ilovaisk cauldron" through the so-called "humanitarian corridor." Between the villages of Novokaterynivka and Horbatyenkо, Starobeshivskyi District, Donetsk Oblast, the column was shelled by the enemy. As a result of the shelling, senior sergeant of police Oleg Grebinskiy was killed. A few minutes before his death, he joined a group of fighters from the patrol police battalion "Myrotvorets." Along with him, a fighter of this battalion, police captain Ruslan Halus, was killed. The surviving fighters of the patrol police battalions "Myrotvorets" and "Kherson" testified that Oleg Grebinskiy had died. His comrades were unable to retrieve his body from the battlefield, so he was considered missing for a long time. On September 19, 2014, Oleg Grebinskiy's body was found by the search group of the "Evacuation-200" Mission ("Black Tulip") near the village of Horbatyenkо and brought to the city of Zaporizhzhia. He was temporarily buried as an unknown soldier under number 4043 at the Kushuhum Cemetery in Zaporizhzhia. In the summer of 2015, he was identified through DNA testing. On September 11, 2015, he was reburied at the cemetery of the village of Krynky in the Tsyurupynskyi (since 2016 - Oleshky) District of Kherson Oblast.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
