Oleksandr Yu. Perepelytsia

Alexander was born on May 2, 1989, in the village of Halzhbiiivka, Yampil District, Vinnytsia Oblast. His childhood was spent in the village of Bila. He grew up as an ordinary village boy. He studied at school, played with friends, and helped his mother with his brother. In 2007, he was drafted for military service. He served as a sailor in the fleet in Crimea. There, he got a tattoo of a ship on the left side of his chest. After his service, he returned home, but there was no work in the village, so he often went to earn money. With the money he earned, he dug a well by the house so that his parents would have water. Then he bought a car — it was Sasha's cherished dream come true. But he didn't have time to enjoy it; he only brought firewood for his parents with his brother and drove around a bit. When the war in the East began, Sasha decided to go defend his homeland. He told his parents he was going to earn money, but he went to the military enlistment office to volunteer for the war. This was on June 19, 2014. His parents thought Sasha was working, while he was fighting near Ilovaisk. Together with his comrades, he defended the borders of our country. The 51st brigade, in which Sasha served, was encircled… It was during the exit from Ilovaisk that Sasha made contact: he called not home, but a friend. This was on August 29, 2014.
